This year I was again nominated for the Trial des Nations race. For me personally, participation in this prestigious race was the tenth in a row. I took part in it for the first time in 2011. This year, the Czech team consisted of David Fabián, Martin Křoustek and myself.
It is therefore a team competition, where each team consists of the 3 best riders from a given state, and individual states therefore compete against each other. Each section, of which there are 15, is always completed by all three members of the team and the results of the two best are counted. The race is then one for 2 laps, so a total of 30 sections. The team with the fewest penalty points wins.
The event took place on September 25 in Monza, Italy and we started in the International Trophy category. It is the second performance category, only 5 nations started in the main one (Spain, Italy, Great Britain, France and Norway. A total of 18 national teams from all over the world participated in our category. The organizer prepared interesting sections, but unfortunately there were no natural terrain suitable for our sport, so everything was made on artificial obstacles.
We did very well in the race and we managed to win. In the first round, the sections were very wet and slippery after the rain. We were only two points ahead of the Germans. The second lap was already a bit drier and we managed to ride it flawlessly. Colleagues David and Martin performed brilliantly. Thanks a lot guys! We won with a total of 7 penalty points, the second Germans had 10 penalty points and the third Austrians collected 17 penalty points.

Deniska Pecháčková and Péťa Budínová competed for the Czech Republic in the Womens Championship women's category. Unfortunately, we don't have more riders, so our girls were limited by the fact that all their results were counted. Despite this handicap, however, they took a wonderful sixth place.
